Day 8 Spring Practice
(April 14, 2008)
By SDIII
EUGENE, OREGON-- Back in the "Mo" center and the Monday
practice
after the scrimmage game was ...well
...Monday.
I arrived early anticipating what the Monday practice was
going to be like and
to adjust some camera stuff for white balance and
see how it looks.
Not to go off subject but met Jeff of the University
Of Oregon Baseball Team.
He seems excited about baseball and has been
working out for the last few
weeks in the Mo Center before football
practice.
Todays practice was slow to start but once it was rolling it
picked up steam
and the notables were Jamere Holland grabbing everything that
was in the air.
Andre Crenshaw looked solid and Jeff Maehl was a
force.
The defense was very solid making interceptions during
the drills and the
offense appeared inconsistent for a time, time was
spent on punt returns drills
for the special teams.
All the red
shirts in the photo's are the QB candidates and some valued views
of the
spectators had the impression this has been the deepest year for
quarterbacks the University Of Oregon has
ever had. Nate

LeGarrette Blount
is on a steep learning curve but is coping well by all
indications.
There
wasn't much full speed hitting today with the exception of Nick Reed..
he
just couldn't help himself leveling Justin Roper on one
play..
Coach Bellotti spent time with the quarterbacks
today in regards to the passing
that didn't develope as expected
during the scrimmage game on Saturday.
After a few passes,
accuracy improved and some long passes were impressive.
No new injuries
and later this week we may be outside in Autzen after the
weather clears
up.
