University Of Oregon                     Spring Practice Day 9 EUGENE, ORE--APRIL 15, 2008--Today seemed disconnected but not at the Moshofsky Center...maybe it was because of the tax deadline. Practice appeared to start late but the atmoshere was very spirited, the passing by all the quarterbacks was much better, helmets flew and there was spirited competition with a couple that almost got out of control. Coach Kelly was really engaged offering his views of how it should be done and with dispatch. Aaron pflugrad was consistant catching everything thrown his way, Jaison Williams hauled in a long one about 60 yards out and the Cornerbacks were not stymied very often. Walter Thurman was a busy CB offering his skills to the defense and Josh Syria was the focus today of the media on video. The Ducks seem to be attracting more attention recently. Drills today were mostly with the WR and QB's with Special Teams getting a good amount of time on punt return defense. I noticed Mark Speck from Bend getting good hang times with his punting and Flint was his work mate as they kicked from one side of the field to the other and then back again, Flint on one side and Speck on the other.. #89 is Aaron Pflugrad, #6 is Walter Thurmond III, Chip Kelly as himself. Josh Syria is #80 and LeGarrette Blount is #9 Jordan Holmes and Simi Toeaina had a spirited moment and later on Jordan put Simi on his back during the end of the next play. Holmes is #54 and Toeaina is #50 (not pictured) Aaron Pfluigrad on one play was sandwitched by the defensive players in the air receiving a pass from Cody Kempt and lost his helmet in mid-air
