BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
EUGENE, OREGON--(April
18, 2008)--I sat on the 50 yard line to watch the scrimmage and the wind
was moving along at about 20 mph, but it was worth seeing the Oregon
Defense make a statement putting the stops on the Oregon Offense. Prior
to the scrimmage Mike Bellotti expressed his views on the purpose of the
scrimmages and the overall issues with the team. "The scrimmages are
meant to establish the practice order for the fall camp positions as
everything now is not written in stone. He is evaluating the backups to
the number one team and every position is up for
grabs"

Of all the passes attempted 12 were incomplete,
3 QB fumbles and 2 interceptions, 1 blocked pass by the defense and 1 FG
that was blocked. It was the Defenses day as #55 Casey Mathews had a
pick, Lewis #14 defended 2 passes very well, #41 Matt Sims had a sack, #96
Mike Bellagama caused a fumble and recovered it and #95 Tonio Celotto
had a sack.
