Spring Practice Day 12
EUGENE, OREGON
(April 21, 2008)-- Inside again today and the
focus was on the WR's since the showing on saturday was not good for the
offensive receivers..although we did have some autograph seekers that were
thrilled getting JJ's signature I was assured they will be at the spring
game come saturday.
The media briefing by coach Bellotti always draws a crowd..even
Matt (wearing glasses) and Jerry Allen on the right of coach
Bellotti.
#87 Daniel Barkley
WR
2007 Appeared in
reserve three times, including a season-high nine plays vs. Washington
State where he ran a reverse for eight yards. Saw first collegiate action
vs. Fresno State, playing four snaps, and was on the field for three plays
during the Sun Bowl.
#10 Drew Davis
WR 2007 Enhancing his
contribution by graduating from high school early in order to take part in
spring drills, the true freshman caught three passes for 35 yards and one
touchdown in 12 games. Included were two catches for 28 yards and one
score during extensive action (26 plays) in front of ESPNs Game Day crew
and a national audience in the win vs. Arizona
State.

horizontal jump addition in 2007-08. Oregon state prep long jump and
triple jump champion as senior.
Prep: Won
state titles as a senior (long jump, 23-1 1/4 (w:-3.3); triple jump,
47-8w, w:2.7), and also competed as a junior (long jump, 16th). Led state
rankings as senior in long jump (23-11) and triple jump (47-8), and just
marks (24-1 1 / 48-10 1/2) that would have ranked him top 15 nationally.
Also a Portland Interscholastic League long jump and triple jump champion.
In other sports, also lettered three basketball seasons at shooting guard
and two football seasons at wide receiver. On gridiron, the first team
all-league and third team and all-state pick caught a 69-yard touchdown to
help team advance to state championship game vs. Lake Oswego.

#89 Aaron Pflugrad WR
2007
Pressed into duty as a true freshman, in part due to an
injury-depleted receiving corps, and played in the final 10 games of the
season. Made his collegiate debut at Stanford and accumulated 17 catches
for 168 yards and a touchdown during his rookie campaign. The sure-handed
receiver posted career bests of five receptions for 51 yards
at Washington one week
after grabbing four passes for 47 yards and his first collegiate touchdown
against Washington
State. His lone reception vs.
South Florida in the Sun Bowl went for a
season-best 23 yards. Broke into the starting lineup for four games before
he became hampered by an ankle injury suffered at
Arizona. Also averaged 3.6
yards on eight punt returns, including a runback of nine yards against
Arizona
State, and returned a kickoff
22 yards vs. Washington
State.
#23 Jeff Maehl
WR 2007 Little was expected of him
as a true freshman at the start of fall camp, yet he evolved from a
reserve in the defensive secondary to a solid special teams performer and
then into the starting lineup at wide receiver for the final three games
of the season. Playing in all 13 games, didn't make his way onto the
offensive side of the ball in a game until November. In that short span,
finished the year with nine catches for 118 yards, including a team-high
four receptions for 86 yards and one touchdown against Oregon State. Also
grabbed two catches for 30 yards in his collegiate debut at his new
position. Rushed three times for 34 yards, including an 18-yard sprint in
the Sun Bowl vs. South Florida. Posted 11 of his 14 tackles as one of the
leaders on special teams during his first 10 outings, including three
tackles each vs. Stanford and

Family: Three brothers, one sister. High School (Coach): Aliso Niguel
(Jeff Veeder) 2004. College: Saddleback. Major: Political Science. He
has shown very good promise this year and could contend for the starting

job.
#18 Jamere Holland WR
2007 Rehabilitated
a prior injury will sitting out the season due to NCAA transfer
rules.
BEFORE OREGON Arguably USC's
fastest reciever before transferring to the Pacific Northwest, he
redshirted during the 2006 season after breaking his collarbone in fall
camp, but recovered in time to run track for the Trojans in the spring.
The No. 4 athlete in the country, according to Rivals.com, he was rated as
the No. 11 receiver overall by Scout.com. Listed PrepStar Dream Team, ESPN

#94 Mike Mackie WR 2007 Redshirted and
was recognized as a defensive scout team player of the week prior to the
win vs. Arizona State.
HIGH SCHOOL Prepped at the
prestigious Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn. where he captained
the football and basketball teams. Played wideout and strong safety for
the Wild Boars. Also spent two years on the lacrosse team. He showed
some good moves
today..
