Jeffery Maehl is going to be great!!

Day 3 (April 4, 2008)
Practice was held in the "Mo" center today as
the weather
could not make up it's mind as what it wanted to
do.
Patrick Chung #15 was the assistant coach today as he has a sore
knee.
One notable event was LeGarrett Blount's run, it was a thing of
beauty
as he absolutely leveled 2 defenders and run for a touch
down.
Jaison Williams caught well but Pflugrad dropped a couple..wouldn't ya
know it.
Tonio Celotto inpressed me getting into the backfield a couple of
times
and Nick Reed did his thing with a couple of speed rushes from the
right side
disrupting the Offensive play.
The Defense won 2
of 3 today.
Roper #11, Costa #7, Darron Thomas #1 and Cade Cooper #2
LeGarrette Blount #9, Nate Costa #7, Chris Harper #3
Thurmond III #6, Byrd #32, Chung

Day 4 (April 7, 2008)
Today
was in the "Mo" center again as it was blustery and raining off
and on, there
were no full contact plays but that seemed to go out the
window now and
again.
Roper and Kempt were sacked the first go around and the defense
had the upper hand for a while. The offense came back the next set and did
better.
Jeff Maehl, Pflugrad and Alston had a good day and JWill did
good.

Day 5 Spring
Practice
Terrance Pritchett #52 (LB)
was a
handful,
Cade Cooper handing off to LeGarrette Blount
Chris Harper showed some promise
and of
Course LeGarrette Blount.
Paysinger earned a plus mark today with
his play, Blake Ferras
got hurt and it appears to be an ankle or foot.
JJ
left early but showed back up with ice on his knee.
Mike
Bellotti's briefing indicates and it shows raw talent of the
new members of
the team, inconsistencies yet there is promise.
Free Safety is a
position that has been a focus of several players.
There will be some
switching positions the next couple of weeks
to see how it goes and just
seeing who may have the talent and
skills

Day
6 Spring Practice (April 10,
2008)
Drew Davis #10
Practice was held in Autzen Stadium and
early on it was
breezy with intermittant clouds, it warmed up quickly.
The
Offense got off to a slow start but came back and made it
a game.
Andre
Crenshaw gets the kudos's because he ran like an
antelope most of the
day.
#91 Harris came up with an interception from Roper at the
line.
LeGarrette Blount did well but was stopped by about 5 or 6
Defenders
on one play.
It was pretty much a toss up but I believe the Offense
was
the stronger and took the game.
It appeared most of the scrimmage
is still being done with
players in different spots as a try out to see
what might work
the best, there was also inconsistencies by the QB's but
Cody
Kempt looked better in his
play.
