   Eugene, Oregon--(August 26, 2008)-- Today was the last day                  #26 Tim Taylor, #97 Cole Linehan, #49 Nick Reed, #80 Josh Syria
of media access before the game between the University of
Oregon and the University of Washington. The scout team
was again in purple and drills included special teams, punt
coverage, and red zone offense.
Jemere Holland looked full speed, JJ looked sharp and asked if
he was ready responded with "I can't wait".
Simi Toeaina hasn't seen his pictures yet of "Fan Day" but he
assured me he would tonight.
Chris Harper from the looks of it still has a shoulder problem, his
throws were not very far and didn't have the usual zip early but
looked better later in practice.
WR Ellis Krout was suspended for the game with the Huskies
for violation of unspecified team rules, this moved Garrett
Embry up the depth chart to 2nd behind Jaison Williams.
Garrett Embry is a true freshman from Roswell, Ga and a three
Star recruit attending his first year at the U of O.
I spent a little time with Garrett on a short Q&A.

SDIII:  How did you get all the way to Eugene?

GE:  I wanted to play and feel like I'm part of the family.

SDIII: What is your favorite food?

GE:   (without a pause) Mom's lemon chicken 

SDIII: Ah..Lemon Chicken..

GE:  My  Mom's Lemon Chicken...(laughs)

SDIII: What is your favorite Music?

GE:  favorite music (pause) I like everything really except country so I enjoy all music's
...different genre's.

SDIII: Nothing in particular?

GE: Lil Wayne

SDIII:  Do you have a girl friend?

GE:  Yes I do

SDIII:  so you are not married yet..                                                                                            

GE:  (laughs)  not married yet.                                                                                                    

SDIII:  Maybe next year?

GE:  Ah..don't know about that..

SDIII: If you were stranded on an Island, who would you want to be stranded
with?

GE:   Tony Dungy

SDIII: do you like the Huskies?

GE:  No!!...not at all

SDIII:  Who is your favorite west coast team?

GE:  Portland Trailblazers
